Reflecting on 2021

We would like to reflect on the year 2021 has been for us here at the clinic. We have had another extremely busy year as the COVID-19 steam train just seemed to keep rolling on. For many reasons, this has had a huge impact on the veterinary industry. From lack of staff due to Locum Vets being unable to travel, and an increasing number of pets as people were stuck at home so they took on a new pet. This has all been part of the challenge this past year. We have also had several staff changes, which has meant a few new faces here at the clinic.
Earlier in the year, we lost the lovely Dr. Deanna who was loved by all our clients. Sadly (for us) she relocated to Hobart. We also had two new vet nurses join the team and Kirralee is now back two days a week after being on maternity leave.

Luckily we have had Dr. Laura join the team recently which some of you may have already met, she is at the clinic just one day a week but her huge smile and valuable knowledge have already been warmly welcomed.

There have also been two huge milestones for two of our team members with Dr. Boris having turned over 10 years at the clinic and our Lead Vet Nurse Jessica and mammoth 18 years, a huge achievement for both of them.

On a final note, all the team here at North West Animal Hospital would like to thank all our valued clients for all your understanding when we have been short on staff and for always following the protocols we have had to put in place for COVID-19. Everyone has been amazing and supportive and we look forward to providing care for of all the special fur babies next year.
